  • Live Earth was a series of benefit concerts taking place on July 7 2007 in cities such as London, Sydney and Hamburg. Al Gore and Kevin Wall came up with the idea based on the Live 8 and Live Aid concerts
  • The purpose of this benefit was to raise awareness of global warming
  • Madonna was the closing act at the concert in Wembley Stadium, she performed Hey You, Ray of Light, La Isla Bonita (with Gogol Bordello) and Hung Up. The song Hey You was chosen as the theme song to Live Earth and was used in promo’s and commercials
  • Hey You was written by Madonna and co-produced with Pharrell Williams
