After an overwhelming first night this day is already a success for me, right at the front with our general admission tickets.
After being stuck for over two hours near the gates, they finally open and we run onto the field. It is such a long run but we make it to the front of the gates! It is quite a battle to keep this spot though (no Golden Circle in those days), the pushing is terrible. When the clock struck 9pm we forget all about the battle because there is M again. Happy as usual she opens with ‘Open Your Heart’, I am afraid I will definitely be losing my voice after tonight.
This is so much better than the first night, just witnessing everything going on stage. When M takes the time to speak to her fans and sees one holding a plastic key she responds ‘a key? a key to my heart? you need more than a plastic key babe! What a party and I sing a long to every song being played. During Papa Don’t Preach she winks at me! Unfortunately it all has to end as some point and when Holiday ends we go back home by train, soaking wet again but this time due to the sweating.
Someone said once that experiecing Madonna live is like having a train run you over, I can definitely confirm that (but at least twice).
I would do anything to experience these shows again!
