What do you do when the dance floor is dead, but you want to keep the party going? According to Madonna, you bring the club to the movie theater.
Before she drops the highly anticipated sequel to her 2006 record Confessions on a Dancefloor on July 3, Madonna felt it was only fitting to reintroduce her fans to that world she created 20 years ago. At the Tribeca Film Festival, the “Hung Up” singer premiered her short film Confessions II, a sexy, sweaty, and dance-fueled visual accompaniment to the album with special appearances by Sabrina Carpenter, Kate Moss, Honey Dijon, and more. After the premiere, the Material Girl sat for a Q&A with Anderson Cooper and directing duo David Toro and Solomon Chase to talk about what’s in store for this new era. The guest list included a range of people from old friends like Debi Mazar to new collaborators like Feid, to hordes of her biggest fans screaming from the balcony. One thing they have in common: they all ride for The Queen of Pop.
