A Certain Sacrifice marked Madonna’s debut in a movie, albeit a low budget one. The movie wasn’t officially released on VHS until 1985, but it wasn’t until 1987 that the Benelux was treated too. The movie was distributed by CNR Video in The Netherlands and the artwork was designed by T&M Design in Loosdrecht (Netherlands).
Lumina Film first released the VHS tape in April 1987 as an exclusive rental only at video rental shops and this exclusive advert was published in a video rental magazine.
