Madonna premiered W.E. at the Venice Film Festival on September 1, 2011. W.E. was the second film to be directed by Madonna, Filth And Wisdom being the first.

The film screened at various film festivals before being released to cinema’s worldwide. Madonna won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song for “Masterpiece”.
