Warner Music’s renowned international “classic album” series, “Forever Young,” which began in the late 1980s, has been relaunched with a fresh new look in June 2024. Since then, the series has released around 250 titles to date. It has now been announced that works by Madonna—widely regarded as the greatest pop icon in history and known as the “Queen of Pop”—will be included in the series.
A total of 16 titles, including 14 studio albums and 2 soundtracks, spanning from her 1983 debut album “Burning Up” (original title: Madonna) to her most recent 2019 release Madame X, will be released simultaneously on May 27 as part of the 13th installment of the “Forever Young” series.
This marks the first time that her works—including three albums from the 2010s that were originally released under other labels—will be released all at once. Additionally, March 19 (today) is “Music Day” (a wordplay on “3/19”), making this announcement feel like a celebration of the occasion.
Since the 1980s, Madonna has remained at the forefront of the music scene with her exceptionally polished sound, undeniable charisma as a pop icon, and a musical style that vividly reflects the spirit of each era. She continues to reign as the “Queen of Pop” and stands as one of the biggest superstars in pop history.
She has achieved unprecedented records, including becoming the first and only artist to reach No. 1 on the dance club chart 50 times, as well as achieving 50 No. 1 hits on the Billboard singles chart.
More recently, her 2022 dance hit and remix collection Finally Enough Love reached the Top 10 on the U.S. album chart, making her the first female artist to achieve Top 10 albums across five consecutive decades—from the 1980s through the 2020s—once again cementing her place in history.
Last year, it was announced that Madonna had re-signed with Warner Records and is expected to release a highly anticipated new album in 2026, raising excitement among fans worldwide.
The “Forever Young” series—Warner Music’s reissue project for classic international albums, relaunched in June 2024—has released approximately 250 titles over the past two years. These include works by artists such as Kraftwerk, New Order, Eagles, The Doobie Brothers, Talking Heads, Ramones, Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys, Donald Fagen, Fleetwood Mac, Blur, The Smiths, Deep Purple, and Van Halen.
In particular, the current series features many albums from the 1980s and 1990s that are now highly regarded as neo-classics, as well as works that have gained renewed appreciation years after their release—so-called “rediscovered masterpieces”—captivating listeners across multiple generations.
