In a new Rolling Stone Music Now interview, producer Stuart Price reveals the creative process behind Madonna’s highly anticipated CONFESSIONS II, reuniting for a new chapter in their legendary musical partnership.
From writing “Good for the Soul” on their very first day back in the studio to drawing inspiration from classic house music, Price explains how the album evolved beyond its predecessor, embracing vulnerability, confrontation, acceptance and the healing power of the dance floor.
He also shares the stories behind some of the album’s most personal tracks, including “I Feel So Free,” “Betrayal” and “Fragile,” as well as “The Test,” Madonna’s deeply moving duet with her daughter Lola.
With eight additional songs left unreleased, Price hints that the CONFESSIONS journey may not be over yet.
