It’s about time, eh? Well, we were only getting a slight case of itchy feet, but our dreams seem to have been answered as Madonna finally teased new music this week.
The undisputed queen of pop took to her Instagram this week and announced she was back in the studio. The 59-year-old Material Girl was clutching an old timey microphone and wearing boxing wraps, naturally, as she raised her perfect head up to the mic like it was some sort of life-giving, invigorating apparatus.
She said: ‘Feels so good… ‘To be working on new music again!’ And in photos obtained by Daily Mail, the superstar was seen leaving a London recording studio on Wednesday looking well chuffed with herself. 2018 marks 35 years since her self-titled album was released and just like a virgin we were touched for the very first time.
Madonna’s been dropping the odd hint here and there she’s poised herself for an epic comeback. During an appearance on Kelly and Ryan last year, she said: ‘2017 was soccer mom in Portugal, 2018 I’m coming back baby and I’m coming for you!’ That was in reference to the fact she’s been living in a Lisbon palace after her son David Banda – who she adopted from Malawi in 2006 – joined the Benfica youth football academy earlier this year.
