Madonna has revealed that she is working with Avicii.

The 55-year-old superstar made the announcement via her official Instagram.

She captioned a photo posted this evening (March 7): “Doing some house work before heading to the studio with Avicci! (sic)”

The ‘Hey Brother’ hitmaker has yet to collaborate with any other major artists, but was credited on Leona Lewis’s single ‘Collide’ after claims of unauthorised sampling were settled with label Syco before the case went to court.

Madonna first confirmed that she was working on a new album back in February.

“Yes, plans are in the works already,” she told The Canadian Press. “Don’t ask me with who – it’s a secret. Top secret.”

The upcoming LP will serve as a follow-up to 2012’s MDNA.

The singer recently performed a duet with Miley Cyrus as part of the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer’s MTV Unplugged session.

The pair sang a mash up of Madonna’s 2000 single ‘Don’t Tell Me’ and Cyrus’s ‘We Can’t Stop’.
