After missing out on Parkinson in London, we decided to try our luck at Wetten Dass, where Madonna was set to perform her new single “Hung Up” 20 years ago today!
Tickets were nearly impossible to get — some selling for over €500 — but after traveling all the way from Amsterdam and pleading at the box office, we miraculously scored two free restricted-view seats!
Inside, the atmosphere was electric. After Green Day’s set, the stage suddenly transformed into a glittering disco, and then she appeared — Madonna, radiant in silver boots and jacket, as Hung Up kicked in.
The crowd went wild. She absolutely owned the stage, and seeing her live again made every minute of that long trip worth it.
We left with ZDF goodie bags, hearts full, and Hung Up still echoing in our heads all the way back to Amsterdam.
