We’ve come across a fascinating promotional advert for an early Madonna performance, scheduled for September 4, 1983, at Escapes nightclub in Merrick, New York.
At the time, Madonna was playing club dates to promote her self-titled debut album, which had just been released that summer. What’s especially interesting about this advert is how it bills her debut single — listed as “Everybody (Come on Dance & Sing)”. The song was, of course, officially titled simply Everybody.
