I read an advance copy of Madonna: A Rebel Life by Mary Gabriel throughout the Summer and it completely took me over. Being a fan of Madonna for 30+ years I had never read such a brilliant book on her before. Mary Gabriel has managed to do what no other biography has brought to the table before. After years of in-depth research Mary Gabriel has written what is to be the closest thing to an actual autobiography by Madonna. The details are insane and most importantly, they’re accurate! Mary takes you on Madonna’s journey throughout her life and takes you to the places, scenes and people that made Madonna Madonna. While reading the 800+ page documentation I simply never wanted it to end, it was such an inspirational read and believe it or not greatly increased my admiration of Madonna.
