Zendaya Coleman, who starred in the Disney Channel hit “Shake it Up,” has been named the face of Material Girl, a line of clothes geared toward teens that is designed by Madonna and her daughter Lola (aka Lourdes).
To celebrate, Coleman — a platinum-selling singer who goes by her first name — was the focus of a photo shoot at Coney Island, posing on the iconic beachfront boardwalk in front of the Wonder Wheel and a candy stand.
Last week, Coleman was cast to play tragic pop star Aaliya in a Lifetime movie.
The 17-year-old will record four songs for the film.
