Four years ago today on the evening of the Dutch tradition of childrens’ celebration ‘Sinterklaas’, Madonna performed the first of two Rebel Heart shows in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
Madonna didn’t spent as much time in Amsterdam like she did during the MDNA Tour in 2012, where she visited the cinema, went for a boat ride and generally played the tourist along with then boyfriend Brahim. She arrived shortly before the show and kept to herself throughout her stay.
Madonna started the show around 10pm and really got the crowd going from ‘True Blue’ onwards. Sadly a crew member’s boyfriend was chosen to be the unapologetic bitch that evening instead of a fan from the crowd. During the 80’s medley Madonna performed both Secret and Don’t Tell Me.
The Ziggo Dome was absolutely packed! No room at all on the floor to move around, find some space and have a dance.
