Who’s That Girl Tour Rotterdam 2nd night – 30 year anniversary by Hans Schaft

After an overwhelming first night this day is already a success for me, right at the front with our general admission tickets.

After being stuck for over two hours near the gates, they finally open and we run onto the field. It is such a long run but we make it to the front of the gates! It is quite a battle to keep this spot though (no Golden Circle in those days), the pushing is terrible. When the clock struck 9pm we forget all about the battle because there is M again. Happy as usual she opens with ‘Open Your Heart’, I am afraid I will definitely be losing my voice after tonight.

This is so much better than the first night, just witnessing everything going on stage. When M takes the time to speak to her fans and sees one holding a plastic key she responds ‘a key? a key to my heart? you need more than a plastic key babe! What a party and I sing a long to every song being played. During Papa Don’t Preach she winks at me! Unfortunately it all has to end as some point and when Holiday ends we go back home by train, soaking wet again but this time due to the sweating.

Someone said once that experiecing Madonna live is like having a train run you over, I can definitely confirm that (but at least twice).

I would do anything to experience these shows again!

Als M even de tijd neemt voor haar fans en een fan ziet met een plastic sleutel in zijn hand, reageert ze ‘a key?! a key to my heart? you need more than a platic key babe!!

Who’s That Girl in Rotterdam 30 years ago today – by Hans Schaft

Today it’s been 30  years that I was touched for the very first time by seeing our Queen live in person. I remember it like it was yesterday. Being an 18 year old kid traveling to the Feyenoord Stadium in Rotterdam.

One month earlier the ticketsale caused me a nervous breakdown. They announced it on the day they went on sale. Now with tickets in my pocket I ade my way to see Madonna live. Holland had been in a Madonna frenzy for the entire month.

We already arrived at the stadium at noon with our seated tickets (we were so unexperienced). When we entered the stadium we found out we were seated all the way in the back, but that didn’t matter to us as we were one of the 45.000 witnessing Madonna live today. After two support acts and a lot of rain the clock struck 9pm when the lights went out and the first notes to Open Your Heart were played. I still get goosebumps listening to that today….just beautiful.

Unfortunately for us we had to watch the screens for 90 minutes, Madonna was just too small to really see. Despite that we still had an amazing time and the rain did not stop us from letting loose. After Open Your Heart she greeted us saying: Hello Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Haarlem, wherever the f**k I am. I might talk fast before it starts raining again, but you keep me warm right? So let’s go. The show was over before we knew it, all her hits were played.

Holiday being the final song we left the stadium soaked by the rain. WOW what a show! Tomorrow we will see the show with a much better view, we have general admission tickets.

Na Open your heart, begroette M ons met: Hello Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Haarlem (Holland) wherever the F**k I am. I might talk fast, before it starts raining again, but you keep me warm right? So let’s go.

Body of Evidence updated with new articles – stay tuned for a massive Erotica/Sex/Dita update!

We’re starting off Madonna’s x-rated era with the film: Body Of Evidence.

Madonna starred as Rebecca Carlson along Willem Dafoe, the movie received a lot of negative reviews due to many people comparing it to the previously released ‘Basic Instinct’. Not only that but Madonna was completely nude and oh shocker anyone was allowed to do that but Madonna (goes without saying).

It was a difficult time for Madonna, but the world thought she deserved it due to sex overkill. How funny when we now look back on this era and everyone agrees that Madonna was way ahead of her time? That her book SEX was absolutely brilliant and broke various boundries…..

We have added some more newspaper ads and articles to ‘Body Of Evidence’ for you to check out.

Dita is just around the corner, but there is so much stuff of her ‘scandalous’ era that it will take us a while….stay tuned!
