MTV is launching a podcast version of “Behind the Music,” the ’90s-era music documentary series that originally aired on VH1, with a selection of the best episodes — updated and remastered for audio. Dr. Dre and Ice Cube will be the first two artists featured, with both premiere episodes dropping on Thursday, July 29. Upcoming episodes will feature 50 Cent, AC/DC, Adam Lambert, Bret Michaels, Courtney Love, DJ Khaled, Duran Duran, Fat Joe, Guns N’ Roses, Madonna, New Kids on the Block, Toni Braxton and Usher. The “Behind the Music” podcast is positioned as an audio companion to Paramount Plus’ “Behind the Music” series with new and classic episodes, also premiering July 29. Meanwhile ‘Madonna The F-Bomb Commotion’ has been available for a few weeks. This release includes the full Blond Ambition Show as performed in London Wembley Stadium. As opposed to other previously released bootlegs with the London show, this particular edition has a shortened intro and “Hanky Panky” smoothly follows “Sooner or Later”, there is no fade in and fade out.

A new exhibit on NYC’s early-’80s music scene just opened at the Museum of the City of New York, and among the items is the flyer for your 1982 Danceteria show where Madonna opened for you. What do you remember about that night?

In January 2021, the Mirror reported that Madonna was considering Florence Pugh to play her in a future biopic about the singer’s life. Apparently, Ozark’s Julia Garner is the other major candidate. Madonna will direct the biopic and also co-write the script with Diablo Cody.
In June 2021, Entertainment Tonight (ET) spoke to Pugh about taking on the iconic role of Madonna, and of course, Pugh remained tight-lipped on the possibility but stated she would be excited to do the role. Madonna gets the final say on whether Garner, Pugh, or someone else takes on the role, but I can’t wait to see who gets the role, and if it’s Pugh, I know she’ll be a great Madonna.

Paramount+, the streaming service from ViacomCBS, and MTV Entertainment Studios today announced that Madonna’s highly-anticipated documentary film, MADAME X, will exclusively debut on Paramount+ in the U.S., Latin America, Australia, the Nordics and Canada beginning on Friday, October 8. Fans outside of these markets can watch the documentary on MTV.
Filmed in Lisbon, Portugal, the film captures the pop icon’s rare and rapturous tour performance, hailed by sold out theatrical audiences worldwide. The unprecedented intimate streaming experience will take viewers on a journey as compelling and audacious as Madonna’s fearless persona, Madame X, a secret agent traveling around the world, changing identities, fighting for freedom and bringing light to dark places.
Audiences have another chance to meet Madonna’s latest alter ego, Madame X.
A teaser for the Material Girl’s upcoming “Madame X” concert film was released Thursday, promoting its October 8 premiere on Paramount+.
The flick, directed by Ricardo Gomes, was filmed in Lisbon, Portugal. The documentary follows the singer and 48 onstage performers including her children, musicians and dancers from around the globe, as well as the all-female Orquestra Batukadeiras.
Streaming service Paramount+ has landed a documentary that offers a glimpse into the personal life of Madonna and her work on the road.
The streaming arm of ViacomCBS said Thursday that “Madame X” will make its debut in the U.S., Latin America, Australia Nordic countries and Canada beginning Oct. 8.
