THE fall of the Berlin Wall represented former enemies uniting as one.
But for pop rivals Madonna and Lady Gaga it apparently means the exact opposite.
The divas are going to war, again, over a headline slot to mark the 25th anniversary of the historic date in the German capital on November 9.
We hear both ladies are gunning for the gig, which is rumoured to be attended by Hollywood heavyweights such as Steven Spielberg, 67, Brad Pitt, 50, and Angelina Jolie.
But neither is willing to play as a supporting act to the other, meaning organisers of the festivities may have to choose between them.
A German mole told us: “Madonna and Gaga are equally desperate for the honour of performing. They both like to think of themselves as very political, and will also have new albums to promote by then. It could reignite their long-running feud as the date draws nearer because neither are used to being told no.
“However it’s highly likely organisers would choose the Queen of Pop over Gaga, if push came to shove.”
It’s no secret there’s no love lost between Her Madgesty, 55, and Mother Monster, 28, seen left walking her dog in NYC.
Madonna labelled the young pretender “reductive” in 2012 amid accusations that Gaga’s song Born This Way ripped off her own 80s classic Express Yourself.
But maybe they could use this opportunity to tears down their walls, duet and make up.

In addition to being singers who kissed girls and liked it, it appears that Katy Perry and Madonna have far more in common than anyone realized. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the 29-year-old pop star discussed the benefits of therapy and her plans for motherhood, while quickly dismissing any conversation about her failed marriage to Russell Brand. Besides, there are much more interesting subjects to cover, like the fact that Perry counts Madonna as one of her friends.
Madonna released her first album a year before Perry was even born, so Madge probably has a ton of useful advice for a singer who likely hopes to follow in the veteran performer’s musical footsteps. Who knows exactly what specific words of wisdom Madonna may have offered Perry thus far, but judging by the “Dark Horse” singer’s description of how the friendship formed, Madonna’s all about trust.

They’ve got our “Rebel Heart” beating super fast.
We’ve already seen Madonna and Miley Cyrus scooting boots on Miley’s “Unplugged” special. Now it looks like they might have hooked up again for a song from Madonna’s upcoming album.
In the latest teaser for the project, Madonna posted some lyrics on Tuesday for a song that might be titled “Rebel Heart” and in the post she tagged both Miley and another rumored collaborator, Cyrus-affilated songwriter MoZella. (Those tags appeared to have been removed at press time.)
The caption of the image is “Wash all over me………. #rebelheart.”
Miley seemed to confirm the collabo with her own Instragram post with an @madonna caption and an image of her wearing a vintage Madge t-shirt.
Earlier this month, Madonna teased another song, “Messiah,” and she is reportedly working with Diplo, songwriter Toby Gad, S1, singer Natalia Kills and Cherrytree Records chairman Martin Kierszenbaum on the folk-up to 2012′s MDNA.

Madonna fans! On August 16th, we’ll be celebrating The Queen of Pop’s Birthday and we want for you all to join the party!
Back in September 2013, Madonna launched her Art For Freedom platform for all of us to share our own definition of Freedom but also to encourage creative expression that brings awareness to human rights violations. With thousands of submissions, (including photos, videos, music and poetry) the project has grown into a strong online community fighting for the universal right to be free.
Since the initiative is a cause close to Madonna’s heart, we would like for you to wish her a Happy Birthday by adding your stone to the Freedom building! To do so, just visit www.artforfreedom.com before August 15 at 11am EST and submit a picture that illustrates your own vision of what our world should be all about if we all had the same rights and freedom to be who we are. The picture can be a portrait, a landscape, a selfie, or whatever you think it should be. Make sure to include a description and feel free to add your Birthday message for Madonna as part of it.
On August 16th, we invite you to post your submitted picture to your favorite social network(s), using the #MadonnaDay and #ArtForFreedom hashtags for your friends, fellow Madonna fans, our girl herself and the whole world to see! Some of Madonna’s favorite pics will be highlighted on artforfreedom.com and/or be mailed branded goodies
Happiness, love, joy, peace, etc,.. Let’s make your picture something that will bring a smile to Madonna’s face and make her feel we are all one on her special day!
She has worked with some of the biggest names in pop, and has 12 studio albums to her name.
Sure, most people can sing along to Like A Prayer if it came on the radio, but be honest, not many people know the lyrics further than the first chorus. Go on, try and sing the first verse now (in your head obviously – don’t embarrass yourself). Hard to recall the words, right?
If you managed to get the lyrics word-for-word then well done you, but what about some of Madge’s later tracks? Hung Up? Turn Up The Radio? Give It To Me?
Reckon you know them all? Then this quiz is for you.
The rules are simple: guess which lyric comes next. Good luck!
