NBC Confirms Madonna’s “Tonight Show” Performance, Interview

Madonna will indeed appear — and perform — on the April 9 “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

When your career has been as iconic as that of Madonna, you cultivate a passionate fanbase. When you cultivate a passionate fanbase, you can bank on them working vigorously to stay apprised of your endeavors.

Neither Madonna nor NBC, therefore, had a prayer of keeping her planned “The Tonight Show” visit under wraps.

Earlier this week, Madonna fans located her name on a tentative NBC episode guide. That guide, which identified a handful of visitors for upcoming “Tonight Show” episodes, revealed that Madonna would appear as an interview and musical guest on the April 9 edition of its Jimmy Fallon-hosted talk show.

Issued Thursday evening, a revised, more authoritative “Tonight Show” lineup shares the same story. Madonna is the lead interview guest and confirmed musical act for the April 9 “Tonight Show.” Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will also appear on the episode.

Other upcoming “Tonight Show” guests include Louis CK, Sophia Bush, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Scott Eastwood, Kevin James and Vanessa Hudgens.

NBC’s official lineup follows:

Friday, April 3: Guests include Ricky Gervais, Jordana Brewster and musical guest Elle King. Boz Scaggs sits-in with The Roots. Show 239

“A tour with a budget like [Madonna’s] counts on adding on second and third nights in markets,” he continued. “That’s why it’s scheduled with lots of empty dates in major markets.”

Gaultier “”Why do they attack her because of her age, and they don’t do it to men?”

…..’Looking back through his four decades of creations he recalls the surprising origin of the bustier that first made him a household name in the U.S. —when a certain pop star from Michigan wore it on her “Blond Ambition” tour in 1990.

“It was not Madonna who wore my first conical bra, it was Nana my Teddy Bear. And when I was six, I wanted to have a doll, but my parents didn’t find it politically correct for a boy,” he said.

Madonna is still very much in his heart — and he defended her against ageist criticism that her fall in this year’s Brit Awards showed that, at 56 years old, she should be hanging up her pointy bra once and for all.

“Why do they attack her because of her age, and they don’t do it to men?” he asked.

“She got up as if it was nothing and to fall must have hurt a lot. She could have killed herself,” he said. “She’s a miracle because, well, she’s Madonna.”

The famed bra — and his Teddy Bear, Nana — can both be found in the Grand Palais exhibit in Paris, which runs until August 3.

Le Grand Journal a month ago today!

Yes it’s already been a month since some of us attended the taping of Le Grand Journal in Paris and met Madonna after. We dug up two ‘lost’ pictures we took seconds before we got to go into the room where we met Madonna and took our pic. The pic shows the wristband you were given and the area we had to wait (and where M passed us by to go into the meet & greet area). Also another photo taken of Kimberly in the studio right before M kicked off the taping with Living For Love. They have been added to our Le Grand Journal + Meet & Greet photogallery

Don Diablo remixes Madonna’s Ghosttown

(..Madonna contacted the Dutch DJ herself after she heard some of his remixes for Ed Sheeran and Jessie J. The ballad Ghosttown is the second single of Madonna’s recent Rebel Heart album. “creating a remix for The Queen Of Pop has always been on my bucket list, when I received a call with the remix request from New York a mixture of emotions ranging from anxiety to excitement went through me. Madonna is known for personally approving her remixes”. He created the remix in a week time. “Next thing I hear from her label is that Madonna thought it was one of the best remixes she ever heard. When I read that I had goosebumps all over”. Don Diablo premiered the remix this past weekend during the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. You can listen to his remix on Madonna’s YouTube Channel.)

I can’t watch Brits fall – Madonna

Madonna has revealed she cannot bring herself to watch footage of the moment she fell on stage while performing at this year’s Brit Awards.

The singer told Jo Whiley it was a “miracle” she did not hurt herself when she tumbled off a set of stairs after a cape she was wearing was pulled by a dancer.

She told the DJ in an interview on her Radio 2 show: ” I haven’t watched it back, I don’t like watching me on anything. I hate watching myself because the experience of the actual thing that I did is never what I see. I’d rather have the fantasy of it in my mind, what I thought it was.”

Asked if she had any plans to write an autobiography, she said: ” I’m sure I will one day. I’ve got so many tales to tell.

” If I wrote my book, that would be from start to finish. And that’s a whole lot of ground to cover.

“I think I would tell the stories that I felt were valuable to tell, that were inspiring, that people could relate to. I’m a storyteller, that’s what I think of myself as, I would share stories that I think would inspire people.”
