Madonna not to perform at Glastonbury?

Glastonbury fans have been speculating for months as to which bands will be headlining the festival in 2019. From the likes of Madonna, Elton John and the Arctic Monkeys – almost every iconic act has been rumoured to be taking on the Pyramid Stage, yet the three headliners are yet to be confirmed. According to a number of tweets, co-organiser Emily Eavis has reportedly claimed that three huge rumoured names have actually not been booked.

During a talk in aid of St Margaret’s Hospice, it is said that the 39-year-old claimed Madonna, Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac have not been booked for the event. Even though reps for the festival are yet to confirm or deny these claims, it appears that fans shouldn’t be getting their hopes up for these acts to make an appearance. There have been a number of names thrown around about the potential line up next year. Even Liam Gallagher got on board with the speculation as he teased fans he was on the bill for the festival. Having headlined the festival as part of Oasis twice (back in ’95 and 2004) he’s got the guts to pull of a top billing at the world’s most iconic musical pligrimage. The 45-year-old hinted that he was in talks for something Glasto related when he revealed he’d enjoyed a meeting with founder Michael Eavis. Keeping things suitably cryptic he told them he’d see them ‘both next year.’ ‘Big thanx to the ever delightful Michael and Emily eavis for last night see you both nxt year as you were LG x,’ he tweeted out.

Bradley Cooper has since praised the festival after revealing he spent four days there in 2017 filming for his new film A Star Is Born. Speaking at the Toronto Film Festival, he said: ‘I spent four days there in all and learned so much about its inner workings. ‘It’s the largest privately-owned music festival in the world and it is the place that makes and rejuvenates careers.’ He added: ‘You watch major, huge musicians still get nervous about playing on the Pyramid Stage. ‘It’s still this place of fear and beauty.’

Bubbly! Madonna & Cardi B Hop On Quavo’s “Champagne Rosé”

Madonna is hard at work crafting a new studio album. However, the Queen of Pop isn’t leaving us high and dry while we patiently await her glorious return. Instead, she has decided to grace us with an unexpected collaboration. Late last night (October 11), the “Hold Tight” siren hopped on a track for Quavo’s debut solo album, QUAVO HUNCHO. The LP gives the Migos rapper an opportunity to flex his creativity in new ways. And it also boasts a star-studded group of collaborators including the likes of DrakeNormani and Cardi B. Unsurprisingly, Madge’s contribution is an absolute highlight.

The living legend and Cardi lend their voices to “Champagne Rosé,” and they undeniably steal the show. “Drink me up, Champagne Rosé. It’s my game,” Madonna chants over frosty beats on the catchy-as-all-hell chorus. She takes center stage on a verse as well “It’s my game. Please let me entertain you. Get inside your vein, too. Intoxicate your brain,” she coos. It is definitely an unexpected moment from the icon. However, it worms its way in your head. Meanwhile Cardi’s verse is all sorts of shady.

“They say my time is ticking. These hoes is optimistic. Somebody told you not to fuck with me. I would listen,” the “I Like It” rapper cryptically warns. “I don’t do number two. That’s the type of shit I’m on,” she adds. Many are taking this as a dig at Nicki Minaj who debuted at the number 2 spot on the Billboard 200 earlier this year. The pair have some serious beef that recently culminated in a near-fight during New York Fashion Week, and this is going to escalate things.

It may not be “Beautiful Game,” but I can’t help being obsessed with Madonna’s latest experiment. Give the LP a spin here and press play on Madonna’s catchy contribution below.

Drowned World Tour ad slick explorations for approval

When deciding on the official font and photo used to promote the Drowned World Tour in 2001, a set of 13 ad slicks were sent to Madonna for approval.

This set of 13 ad slick explorations for Madonna were designed to be used for newsprint campaigns in the U.S. and overseas. Different photo’s and logo’s were used with random chosen dates and venues to present to Madonna. A variety of different pictures (mostly from the ELLE photoshoot) were used (notice the one with the shot from the Bedtime Story video), Madonna chose the top one.

For obvious reasons we have provided no HQ scans.
