Madonna hosts LA spin class ahead of annual Oscars bash

Madonna is gearing up for what will be a competitive night for Oscars afterparties this year.

Sources told Page Six that the Material Girl was spotted at spin mecca Cycle House in West Hollywood, Calif., this week. “For the third year in a row, she had celebrity trainer and Cycle House partner Nichelle Hines do a special-edition class,” said a fit spy of the “Like a Virgin” singer.

“The class was full — as she likes to work out in a full room and not get special treatment,” added the source. “There were lots of hip-hop and dance tracks.”

We hear Madge wore a shirt that read “Phenomenal Woman,” along with “baggy sweats,” “her hair in two braided pigtails” and “a hat.”

“She had a blast, and was energized all ride.”

Madonna will throw her 12th annual A-list Oscars bash with manager Guy Oseary at his home after the awards Sunday.

But on the same night, Jay-Z and Beyoncé will host their second Gold Party, which we’re told will return to Chateau Marmont’s garage, with Eleven Madison Park’s Daniel Humm in charge of the menu. Adding to the jammed after-Oscars events calendar will be the venerable Vanity Fair party, plus fêtes by Fox, Netflix and Warner Bros.

Madonna was considered to head up vocals to Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’

…’Elsewhere in the interview the group discuss the process of writing and recording Mezzanine, recalling a dispute with former bandmate Andrew Vowles. Del Naja and Grant Marshall wanted Liz Fraser to sing the vocals for Teardrop, but Vowles was insistent that Madonna head up the vocals. Whilst it was ultimately Fraser who lent her voice to the track, the disagreement lost the group their third member. Speaking of the incident Marshall says, “[Mezzanine] was the end of our trio but it projected us to greater things.”

Hun nieuwe, goed ontvangen album ‘Why Do It At All’ kwam 16 november uit.

Vj Supreme Cuisine, alias Menno Spieker, verzorgt de visuals. Hij is vj, graphic designer, motion graphic designer en party organisator. Voor ‘De Uitvinders van…’ combineert hij beeldredactie met vj skills.

Beautiful Stranger discography online – 28 different pressings

Beautiful Stranger was an instant smash, the track taken from the Austin Powers, The Spy Who Shagged Me soundtrack was another brilliant collaboration with William Orbit. The song earned Madonna her fifth Grammy Award. The music video was directed by Brett Ratner and won Best Video from a film at the 1999 MTV Awards, which she attended.

Madonna performed the track on her Drowned World Tour and apart from a teeny tiny bit as a request during the Sticky & Sweet Tour, she hasn’t performed it again.

In our discography we have collected 28 different pressings (including the Austin Powers soundtrack) check it all out HERE

Madonna’s neighbors want her to cover their $140K legal tab

Madonna’s Manhattan neighbors are fed up with her “endless litigation” against their apartment building — so they’re asking a judge to force her to cover their $140,000 legal tab.

“Plaintiff is a revered performing artist, and her reputation and success are no secret,” the residents of Harperley Hall on W. 64th St. say in a new Manhattan Supreme Court filing.

“But her unique ability to fund endless litigation, however meritless, prejudices the building’s innocent shareholders who are funding this litigation while also complying with the use provision that plaintiff seeks to invalidate for personal desires,” they gripe.

The Material Mom sued the co-op in 2016 over a rule that said her children and domestic help could not live in her $7.3 million pad unless she was “in residence” at the time.

She argued she couldn’t possibly comply because she’s a “world-renowned recording artist” who is “constantly on world tours” and who “owns many residences around the world.

But a judge wasn’t impressed and tossed the suit in 2017.

Madonna has appealed the ruling.

Her neighbors now want her to compensate them for their lawyer’s fees noting that she has “seemingly endless means to pursue litigation, however tenuous her claims may be.”

More details on Madonna’s planned Eurovision performance

Reports have been swirling for the past two weeks that international superstar Madonna is set to perform at the this year.

On Sunday, Ynet reported that the “Material Girl” singer is poised to sign a contract for more than a million dollars to appear at the 2019 Eurovision. The bill, said Ynet, will be footed by Canadian-Israeli billionaire Sylvan Adams, who was responsible for bringing the Giro d’Italia international bicycle race to Israel last year. KAN, the Israeli public broadcaster which is organizing the competition, would not comment on the reports.

“Currently, we are formulating the artistic performances for the 2019 Eurovision,” a spokeswoman for the network said. “When the time comes, we will publish the list of the artists taking part.”

Daniel Benaim, an Israeli businessman who partnered with Adams on the , told Army Radio on Sunday that the deal with Madonna is progressing.

“I can happily say that there is a green light from the philanthropist Sylvan Adams,” Benaim said Sunday morning. “We’re currently – together with Madonna’s people and with officials from KAN – sitting and working out the details, and everything looks good and positive, and is advancing.”

Madonna has visited and performed in Israel several times in the past, most recently in 2012.

Bringing a global superstar of Madonna’s stature to the Eurovision is rare but not unprecedented. performed during the interval at the finale of the 2016 Eurovision in Stockholm. At the time, Eurovision organizers said that Timberlake’s performance – by a “non-contestant global superstar,” was a historical first for the song contest.

While Adams seems to be ready to sign the check for Madonna to perform, it might not be that straightforward.

KAN, which is funded by the Israeli government, is the body overseeing and producing the 2019 Eurovision. Last year, KAN held a much publicized battle with the government over the funding of the competition. That standoff ended in November with an agreement for KAN to accept a NIS 70 million loan from the government to fund the contest, and to use an additional NIS 50 million from its annual budget. The 2019 KAN budget currently stands at NIS 662 million.

The 44-page public broadcasting law, passed in 2014, sets out in great detail the network’s budget, and allows for limited externally-funded commercials. The issue of an external body or individual donating a large sum of money does not appear to be addressed in the law.

A spokeswoman for KAN told The Jerusalem Post that the legal issue of external funding “is currently under investigation. If it becomes relevant, we will operate according to the rules.”

Famous people and places they’ve visited in Glasgow

Glaswegians are known for welcoming new visitors to the city and when an A-lister shows up they are met with open arms.

From Madonna and Ed Sheeran to Lulu and ‘Brangelina’, we’ve certainly rolled out the red carpet for more than a few famous faces over the years.

We’ve rounded up a list of celebrities and the familiar places they’ve visited in Glasgow.

After all, if a local hangout is good enough for them then it’s good enough for us, right?

Here’s fourteen celeb-spotting highlights from the last decade.

Madonna sampled some Glasgow city centre nightlife when she partied the night away in Kokomo back in 2015.

She hit-up the West Regent Street club following a show at the SSE Hydro in December and posed with some mega cool diamond-studded grills on her teeth.

GLAAD To Honor LGBTQ Icon Madonna With Advocate For Change Award

From Like a Virgin to Vogue to Evita to Ray of Light and everything in between, Madonna has traversed the pop culture terrain as a curator of style and trends in music, TV, film, and advocacy. That said, GLAAD is set to honor the Material Girl (we’re still calling her that, right?) with the Advocate for Change Awardat the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City on May 4.

“From the HIV crisis to international LGBTQ issues, she fearlessly pushes for a world where LGBTQ people are accepted,” said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis. “Her music and art have been life-saving outlets for LGBTQ people over the years and her affirming words and actions have changed countless hearts and minds.”

Madonna is the second person and first woman to be honored with the Advocate for Change Award. The first was Bill Clinton who received the award in 2013 during the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards for his advocacy work to overturn the anti-LGBTQ Defense of Marriage Act and advance marriage equality nationwide.

It’s no surprise that Madonna would be honored with an award of this stature. She has been an ally to the LGBTQ community starting at the beginning of her “boy toy” career when she was donning lace and leather. She was at the forefront of the HIV/AIDS crisis in the ’80s, performing at AIDS benefit concerts and demanded more action be taken at a time when HIV and AIDS was invisible in the media. Her HIV/AIDS advocacy was very present in her work as she included a leaflet in her album Like a Prayer (which also celebrates its 30th anniversary this year) entitled “The Facts about AIDS” and wrote a song on her Erotica titled “In This Life” as a tribute to her friends who had passed away from AIDS.

She has appeared in numerous films including the aforementioned Evita, for which she received a Golden Globe award as well as Desperately Seeking Susan, A League of Their OwnFour Rooms and The Next Best Thing. In her 1991 provocative (then again, almost everything she did in this era was provocative) documentary Truth or Dare, she showcased her dancers, who were almost all gay and were free to depict themselves authentically on camera, as encouraged by Madonna herself. She made her directorial debut in 2008 with Filth and Wisdom and went on to produce I Am Because We Are, a documentary on the problems faced by Malawians. For her second film, she tackled the affair between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson in W.E.

In 1997, Madonna played a key role in Ellen DeGeneres’ historic coming out, giving DeGeneres words of support and comfort, despite the fact that the two had never met before. She hosted Saturday Night Live in 1985, but made guest appearances numerous times after. She made her sitcom debut in 2003 when she appeared on the NBC comedy Will & Grace.

Madonna continues to use her iconic platform to support the LGBTQ community. In 2019, she continues to speak out against anti-LGBTQ laws, policies, and practices — not only in the United States, but all around the world. Madonna has spoken out for LGBTQ equality in Romania, Malawi, Russia and more. She has also spoken against bullying of LGBTQ youth and related LGBTQ youth suicide.

Her music has reached legendary status and it can be heard pulsating in clubs and karaoke bars all across the world, but in everything she does, she pushes the envelope (remember the SEX book?). But with all her shock and awe, there has always been advocacy and protest sewn in.  In 2013, when presenting Anderson Cooper with the Vito Russo Award at the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, she dressed as a Boy Scout in protest of the Boy Scouts of America’s ban on LGBTQ people. This past New Year’s Eve, Madonna gave a surprise performance at the Stonewall Inn, a historic venue for LGBTQ rights, to celebrate its upcoming anniversary. She also spoke at the first Women’s March on Washington for women’s equality and has spoke against Trump’s child detention policy.

The 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards honors media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ people and issues. The 151 nominees in 27 categories were unveiled earlier this month at the Sundance Film Festival.

Events for this year’s GLAAD Media Awards will be held in Los Angeles on March 28 and continue in New York City on  May 4.

Another re-invention coming up Madonna?

Madonna has been teasing a variety of hairstyles lately, even though a wig it would be that re-invention we’ve been waiting for.

Today MDNA Skin posted the top right photo with the caption: Pre-Shoot for Album Art!! Madonna herself posted the top left pic in which she appears to be wearing a mask with a ‘magic’ touch to the lips. So what is she cooking up? Will she come back and re-invent herself as we’ve grown to expect from her, or will the focus not be on image this time?

We’ll see soon enough, hang on to your seats!
