The art of teasing new music is one that many pop stars deal with on a regular basis — do you offer up a clip of a song, do you send out some new cover art, or do you just announce you have new projects on the way?
On Monday (March 18), Madonna tweeted out a cryptic photo of a hand cutting an apple with a knife, saying that fans could be expecting new music coming their way soon. “A Taste of things to come……………” she captioned her photo.
Fans took to Twitter to express their curiosity and excitement surrounding the star’s mysterious announcement. Some simply expressed their glee at the thought of new Madonna music, while others attempted to decode her message and determine what it meant.

Motley Crue and virginity go together like oil and water (ie: they don’t mix). Except on the soundtrack for Crue’s The Dirt biopic where the hair metal hellraisers elected to cover the classic Madonna track “Like a Virgin,” which you can hear below.
The initial idea to record a cover of the song spontaneously popped into bassist Nikki Sixx‘s head, although he admitted he wasn’t so sure about the move at first. Producer Bob Rock had a hard time buying in, but he was swayed after Sixx and Tommy Lee presented him with a demo cut.

Few pop stars adapted to the rise of electronic dance music as masterfully as the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna. Way back in 1998, when EDM was largely still a club genre, Madge released Ray of Light, a sonic shift in direction that is still one of her most successful adventures to date. The center piece of the album was the title track, a Grammy-winning single that demonstrated all that was possible in the pop-electronica conversion.
Now, psych-rockers Pond have followed Madonna’s path by proving the track remains a genre bridge with their cover for Like a Version. In what could go down as one of the best performances from the long-standing triple j segment, the Australian outfit push the song two decades into the present with tighter drumming and a modernization of the pulsing synth drones. Frankly, the whole thing would still be incredible just as an instrumental, especially with Nick Allbrook and Shiny Joe Ryan’s guitar work, but it’s the former’s vocals that take it over the top with their slightly psychedelic edge.
Fans should be hoping this cover finds its way into Pond’s live set soon, but until it does, check out the Like a Version rendition below.

Obviously this is just speculation and the fact that Andy Lecompte has this as a tattoo on his hands, is basically a confirmation that he is just joking around. Also would it be in his place to reveal Madonna’s single title?
From Inquisitr.com:
It has been said that Madonna has been working on new music, but fans can expect to hear something real soon. Her stylist, Andy LeCompte revealed on his Instagram that her new single is titled “Love Hard” in the comments section after posting a video of the Queen of Pop.
The video upload see’s Madge in hair and makeup as she drinks coffee and lights up a cigar. Fans have assumed she is shooting promotional photos or the album cover. The video upload had been hashtagged the rumored next single. When a fan asked her stylist if “Love Hard” is the next single, he replied saying it was.
Madonna’s last release, Rebel Heart, was her 13th studio album. The album topped the charts in Australia while peaking at No. 2 in the U.K. and U.S. The album contained collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Chance The Rapper, Mike Tyson, and Nas.
To support the album, she embarked on a world tour with the same name. It went across North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. In total, she performed 82 shows which grossed $169.8 million.
Recently, Latin artist Maluma told E! News he had been working on new music with Madonna. He revealed that they met at the MTV Video Music Awards and that they had been cooking up some music since then. He said he hopes she decides to release some of it in the future for the world to hear.
Madonna burst onto the music scene in 1983 with her self-titled album. Since then, she has released many iconic records that have sold in their millions — Like A Virgin, True Blue, Like A Prayer, Ray Of Light, Music, and Confessions On A Dancefloor to name a few.
Her signature singles — “Holiday,” “Like A Virgin,” “Into The Groove,” “Material Girl,” “Papa Don’t Preach,” “Vogue,” “Frozen” — have influenced a generation of pop stars and entertainers.
Madonna’s first movie, A Certain Sacrifice came out in 1985. However, it was filmed before her breakthrough, in 1979. Since then, she has gone on to star in Vision Quest, Desperately Seeking Susan, Who’s That Girl, Dick Tracy, A League of Their Own, Evita, and Die Another Day.
In 2008, she made her debut as a film director for Filth and Wisdom. Since then, she has directed W.E. and secretprojectrevolution.
She has been nominated for 28 Grammy Awards and has taken home seven trophies. Her first win came in 1992 for Best Music Video, Long Form for Blond Ambition World Tour Live. Her most recent win, in 2008, was for the same category for The Confessions Tour.

Illustration is for entertainment purposes only, has nothing to do with Madonna’s upcoming project!
It was recently revealed that the story of Pose Season 2 will take a one year leap. The first season lived in 1988. Hence, the narrative of the upcoming season will come to life from 1989. It will end by March of 1990. This was when Maddona’s Vogue led the ballroom culture into the mainstream. Hence, the new season will highlight the shimmery yet the darker side of the industry.
The story will enlighten the effects of the song on the mainstream. The bling of ballroom culture was unknown by the industry before Madonna came up. Audiences went crazy, and the sector somehow realized its importance. Hence, the upcoming season is expected to portray the same era with the brilliant cast from Season 1.
Also, Pose Season 2 will also focus on HIV-positive characters. Blanca (Mj Rodriguez) and Pray Tell (Billy Porter) have the fatal disease, and we will see them struggling with their lives in the new installment. The series may explore their stories after they succumb to AIDS.
As hinted by showrunner Ralph Murphy, fans may get to see Madonna in the new season. The famous singer and actress may not just join the cast of the show, but she may also play herself. However, even after hinting her arrival, Murphy is yet to confirm her casting. Although, her followers are already excited by the news and look forward to seeing her in the favorite show.

Madonna’s participation in the Eurovision competition is currently unclear after production officials reviewed the song list the singer was preparing to work off of and found one of the songs to be inappropriate for the their audience and expected atmosphere of the competition, according to Ynet.
A new replacement song has not yet surfaced, and it is unclear if one will.
A number of sources located within the Eurovision contest itself expressed their dismay with the intended performance of the song, while other demanded for artistic freedom to be respected and to leave the choice up to Madonna herself. The director general of the broadcasting company is in favor of the latter and directed production not to interfere with her artistic expression.
Meanwhile, Israeli media unofficially reported that Madonna filmed a political advertisement which would “lead to controversy.” It is unclear if this is in any relation to the controversial song choice.
Canadian-Israeli billionaire Sylvan Adams said Tuesday that it is “looking very good” that Madonna will perform at the Eurovision this year.
Adams, speaking at the Keshet INTV Conference at the YMCA in Jerusalem, said he had gotten involved with the upcoming Eurovision in Tel Aviv in the hopes of bringing a huge-name artist to the show.
“We’ve reached out to Madonna to try to add a little bit of glitz to the event,” said Adams to Channel 12 News reporter Ben Mittelman. “It’s looking very good that she’s going to come here and participate in the Eurovision Song Contest.”
Last month, reports leaked out that Adams had approached KAN and offered to foot the bill for bringing Madonna to appear at the live grand finale in Tel Aviv on May 18. Ynet reported that Madonna had demanded more than a million dollars to appear at the show. KAN’s budget for the 2019 Eurovision – funded partly by a loan – stands at NIS 120 million.
Adams told the audience of global media professionals that hosting major international events in Israel is a serious boost for its image. The billionaire was a driving force behind Israel hosting the first three days of the Giro d’Italia bicycle race last year.
“There’s a steady drumbeat of negative news here, because of the density of journalists here in Israel, and here is one time where we were able to flip that on its head,” said Adams. “Here, for a few days, people got to see us unfiltered in their own living rooms through their TV sets.”
Adams, who describes himself as a “self-appointed ambassador at large for Israel,” said that events like the Giro d’Italia and the Eurovision are “a tremendous way to boost tourism. And I think the more people we bring here, the more people see our true nature, and the true beauty of our country and our people, and the freedom and openness and tolerance and safety of our country.”
He said he has been in talks with government authorities and ministries to establish a permanent fund to host and stage such events.
“The Giro d’Italia was proof of concept – it was proof that there is no event that we cannot host here,” Adams said. “We have the expertise to manage everything.”

Madonna and the Breakfast Club is nothing like the film ‘Innocence Lost’ (1994), so please drop all comparisons and preconceptions now. The film by Guy Guido is nothing short of absolute brilliance and done with the utmost respect for Madonna.
The film can be classified as a documentary on Madonna’s rise to stardom, portrayed by the incredible Jamie Auld. The intro sets the bar of the film while listening to actual audio recordings of Madonna speaking to Dan Gilroy. Guy Guido has interviewed a lot of people from Madonna’s past and has included real footage, pictures and audio of Madonna. Jamie Auld makes the scenes come alive, but there’s as much real Madonna as there is Jamie.
People like Peter Kentes who photographed Madonna at school speaks about her, as does Norris Burroughs who is responsible for Madonna and Dan Gilroy getting acquainted. While you’re listening to some of Madonna’s spoken audio you can’t help but think of her voiceover’s in ‘Truth or Dare’.
Dan Gilroy speaks about getting to know Madonna, falling in love, making music with her and their very first date. While listening to Dan you’re being treated to the greatest unseen photographs of Madonna’s very early days. Ed Gilroy takes you on a tour through the Synagogue where Madonna used to live and make music. There’s the actual drum set she used and stuck her gum on. Gary Burke shares a fascinating story of getting to know Madonna while in The Breakfast Club, getting a crush on her and eventually starting the band ‘Madonna And The Sky’ and later ‘Emmy’ with her.
Madonna’s early days are a journey and you get to tag along every step of the way. There’s behind the scenes footage of the taping of Lewicki’s ‘A Certain Sacrifice’, which started filming in September of 1979. Let’s not forget the highly interesting songs she recorded with The Breakfast Club and Emmy. There are samples from various never before released songs with Madonna on vocals. Madonna mentioned at Parkinson in 2005 that the very first song she ever wrote was ‘Tell The Truth’, which she spoke about again during her induction in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2008. It is in this film that you actually get to hear it!
One song that’s really surprising is a song Madonna wrote called ‘Again And Again’ and went a little something like ‘Again and Again…..Over and Over….Again and Again…..Over and Over’, reminds you of a certain song does it? While you go from one treat to the next there is no denying how Madonna was always bound to be an artist. She had the will, the drive, the star quality, the image, but most of all she had the balls to do it. What people tend to forget is that Madonna worked really really hard to get where she is today. This film portrays that in the greatest detail, you will be stunned.
An absolute must watch for not only every Madonna fan out there, but anyone with a desire to see how one of our greatest pop stars in history (if not THE greatest) came to be.

Madonna’s infamous Truth or Dare film will be coming to Blu-Ray in the U.K. on June 17. Funnily enough it is being released with the American name (Truth or Dare) instead of the European title (In Bed With Madonna).
Truth or Dare has been released on Blu-Ray earlier in Germany through Koch Entertainment.

On March 3, 1989, Madonna released the hit song, “Like a Prayer.” And it was a monumental moment unlike no other before it at the time.
After three back-to-back multi-platinum albums, a record-breaking world tour, it seemed like the singer was on top of the world as she readied the release of her fourth album, Like a Prayer, in March of 1989.
That January, ahead of its release, Madonna brokered an endorsement deal with Pepsi for $5 million. The deal included the launch of the album’s title song in a television commercial — an unheard-of arrangement at the time — and the cola brand sponsoring the singer’s next world tour. The following month, Pepsi debuted its highly anticipated commercial during the 31st GRAMMY Awards, with an estimated 250 million reportedly watching the ad worldwide.
A month later, it was time for the unveiling of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” music video, which was scheduled to make its worldwide debut during Entertainment Tonight before being shown in full on MTV. But as Lu Murray, the show’s producer at the time, remembers, the anticipation of the music video was met with immediate shock and awe.
